In the 1960s, János Baksa-Soós was the frontman of the beloved Hungarian rock band KEX, which soon came under the scrutiny of the secret police due to its non-conformist lyrics and performances. As a result, Baksa-Soós emigrated to West Germany in 1971 and then to West Berlin in 1978. There he began a second career as a visual artist under the name Január Herceg (Prince January), drawing inspiration from Native American spirituality and cosmology until his death in 2021.

The sensitive film gives voice to Baksa-Soós as well as his artistic collaborators and inner circle.
