As a group of students from the Universities of Regensburg, Jena and Graz studying Southeast European Studies (SEES), we have come together because we are not only passionate about studying the region, but also about connecting SEES students. This is how the idea of a digital SEES Student Symposium arose. The Symposium aims at creating an opportunity for networking among SEES students and students who have a subject-related connection to Southeast Europe. It will provide a platform for exchange and feedback on current research papers (seminar papers, bachelor’s and master’s theses, etc.) and projects. Also, it is supposed to serve as a kick-off event for a long-term SEES student network.

The SEES Student Symposium will be held online from 27 to 29 March, 2025. Students who are interested in contributing may send their abstract with a short CV by 31 January 2025.
