URBAN DISOBEDIENCE TOOLKIT explores the changing dynamics of public space in major cities and shows how art can inspire people to reclaim and reshape their urban environment.

Through three artistic interventions and a performative lecture, the film illustrates ways to “reclaim the city.” These elements are seamlessly interwoven under the direction of artist and filmmaker Vladimír Turner, who has been dedicated to art in public space for nearly two decades. The title URBAN DISOBEDIENCE TOOLKIT underscores art’s avant-garde potential—not as mere decoration, but as a radical intervention and driving force against technocratic perceptions of the world.
The film is presented in cooperation with ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanism, as part of the Food&Footage series.

Food&Footage brings together filmmakers and chefs to combine moving images with a three-course meal, thereby bringing current social, cultural, and political topics to the table.

This edition of FOOD & FOOTAGE is hosted in collaboration with docfilm42. docfilm42 is an independent documentary film initiative. It sees documentary film as discourse on political, social, historic, scientific and social themes using artistic methods and promotes visibility through networking, screenings and cooperations with independent online streaming platforms.
