Search for queer performer/dancer who has migrated from the countries of the Caucasus region to Saxony/Sachsen in Germany / paid art project collaboration

Hello dear people!

We are looking for a queer performer/dancer who has migrated from the countries of the Caucasus region to Saxony.

The search is called out by the collaboration of „CYNETART – Platform for Nomadic Thinking and Artistic Research“, together with the artist duo “die Blaue Distanz” and the „IN/VISIBLE platform for queer and feminist culture“ in the Caucasus region in behalf of Uta Bekaia and Dato Koridze. We are aiming to go public with the project „Queer Deities in Migration“ in August 2024 in Dresden.

„Queer Deities in Migration“ is an art project by a Georgian artist duo Uta Bekaia (https://utabekaia.com) and Dato Koridze (https://datokoridze.com). The primary goal is to support queer individuals relocated from the South Caucasus region to Europe due to issues because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The project aims to establish links between their personal histories and the characteristics and similarities of corresponding deities.
»Queer Deities in Migration« is urging audiences to reflect on the role of cultural memory in our daily struggles. Through the intersection of performance, personal stories, and ancient mythology, the performance piece becomes a living canvas, a dynamic exploration of queer migrants’ resilience and transformation. It is a paid job.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have questions. We will gladly provide more information!
