The purpose of the Josef Dobrovsky Fellowship is to support Czech studies in their linguistic and territorial dimension by funding short-term study stays of foreign researchers at the institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
The grant is intended for foreign researchers who, for their scientific work, need to study local historical, cultural, artistic, linguistic, geographical or natural data in the Czech Republic. The study stay lasts from 15 to 45 days.
Applicants submit applications for the Josef Dobrovsky Fellowship through individual institutes of the CAS. The Academic Council of the CAS decides on the award of support based on the results of a two-stage selection procedure (the first round takes place at the institute level, the second round at the level of the entire CAS).
