KONTAKTE-KOHTAKTbI, Feurigstraße 68, Berlin
Followed by a buffet with Central Asian food
How do historical experiences continue to shape the lives of women today? What similarities and differences emerge when we compare perspectives from Germany, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan? And what can we learn from one another through international dialogue?
We warmly invite you to join the concluding public event of the international youth exchange project „The Role of Women in the German, Kazakh and Uzbek Societies in the Past and Present.“
During the panel discussion, project partners and participants from Germany, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan will reflect on the first week of the exchange in Berlin. Together, they will discuss women’s roles in society, politics, education, culture, and historical memory, share insights from the project’s workshops and study visits, and explore how international dialogue can contribute to greater mutual understanding and gender equality.
The discussion will be moderated by Verena Meier (GER).
On the podium: Lola Tohirovna Abdullaeva (UZ); Shakhnoza Mukhtarova (UZ); Serikbayeva Aizhan Temirbolatovna (KAZ); Laura Zhumasheva (KAZ)
After the panel, we invite everyone to continue the conversation over a buffet featuring Central Asian cuisine, offering an opportunity for informal exchange with the international participants.
Admission is free. Everyone interested is warmly welcome. The event will be held in English.
We look forward to welcoming you!
