What does it mean to think decolonially in the Ukrainian context today and why does it matter for Europe?
Join us for a thought-provoking online event introducing KARTA: An Annotated Guide to Ukrainian Decolonial Thought, a new open-access annotated digest that guides you through key texts, voices, and debates shaping contemporary Ukrainian decolonial discourse.
The event will open with a keynote by Valentina Sotnikova, creator of the widely followed YouTube podcast Dekolonizatorki. Drawing on her work at the intersection of media, activism, and critical theory, she will explore current trajectories of decolonisation in Ukraine and their broader cultural and political implications.
Following the talk, we will present the digest KARTA, which maps central texts and discourses of Ukrainian decolonial thinking. The publication is available open access in German and Ukrainian, aiming to foster transnational dialogue and make these perspectives accessible to wider audiences.
The event will be held in English and invites participants from academia, cultural practice, civil society and interested public.
Please register to receive the access link to the event.
