CfA: International Autumn School 2026 in Yerevan

Dear subscribers,

The Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS), and the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University (YSU) invite applications for the International Autumn School 2026 “Contested Spaces, Fragmented Orders: International Law and Politics in the South Caucasus” in Yerevan, taking place from 30 September to 10 October 2026.

The programme offers an intensive interdisciplinary learning environment for students from Armenia and Germany, examining how international law and international politics operate in contexts shaped by conflict, contested sovereignty, authoritarian governance, and political transformation. Bringing together up to 12 students from Armenia and up to 10 students from Germany, the Autumn School fosters international academic exchange and collaborative learning. Particular attention is given to the South Caucasus as a region of overlapping legal, political, and geopolitical contestation.
